pictures of the Mother's Day celebration in St. George's, Baghdad. Nawal, Head of the Mother's Union tells us that they invited all mothers and women married and single. They had prayers, sang hymns and read the Gospel about the women in the Old and New Testaments. Ladies from the Mother's Union joined in reading the scriptures from the gospel. There were mothers there who had lost their children, either from having been killed or kidnapped and prayers were said for them The logo of Mothers day was Proverbs, chapter 31, verse 30.
They wrote this
logo on a paper and put it on the chest of every mother. They
also gave a flower to each mother to remember |
