| Pastors from all over the island had their regular meeting and came to Famagusta in January too. Salamis is always an attraction even though the ruins date from about 300 hundred years after St. Paul's arrival. |

| February 2007 The weekly Prayer and Praise meeting led by the students themselves takes place in the EMU each week of the year on a Wednesday this shot happens to be from February with lower numbers being between semesters. |

| For those who do remain it's a
good time to bring visiting preachers to broaden the mostly Nigerian
church attenders' understanding of the church. One who came in
February was Pastor Priyan Rodrigo of the Sri Lankan Church in Limassol |

| Also in February Robin's first vicar Peter Isherwood, now retired came with his wife, Winifred, to stay in Bogaz to help in the difficult task of reaching British people for Jesus. Seen here negotiating the rugby scrum at Larnaca airport. |

| February saw Church cleaning inside and out we finally got rid of all the leaves and branches from when the Municipality trimmed the trees in the grounds we were so thankful they took of the branch from the eucalyptus that was colliding with the building. The Municipality also installed a wonderful new car park just above the church opening up the view of the building |

| March 2007 March is always the time for the Women's World Day of Prayer here are Elle (Iran left)and Judith (Nigeria -right) with Val and Barbara Symons in between at the Hall of St. Andrew's Kyrenia. |

| The wedding of the year ( if not the century?) took place in Church on March 3rd here are Ayodeji Ogulana and Rosemary Afuwape seeking God's blessing, following an earlier civil ceremony. |

| In March too we were visited by
Archbishop Eustathias Matte Roham, of the Syrian Orthodox
Archdiocese of Jaziraj and Euphrates. The congregations learned of
the many educational and building projects underway in his Diocese as well as the steady growth in the church in Syria and the renaissance and reopening of churches and a theological college in SE Turkey and their care of thousands of Christian refugees from the conflict in Iraq. (Seen here with the Governors of Hasske Syria and Urfa, Turkey on a visit to Hasseke Monastery and then with our Sunday morning congregation graciously without robes, for the first time since he was ordained, for the weekend in the North of Cyprus) |

| April 2007 The highlight of April was the Baptism of 6 people, (in the hot-tub of the house next door to the Chaplaincy House) on Easter Day April 8th. We shared the event with the Protestant Church of Lefkosa and Rev Andrew Swanson who also had a candidate to be baptised. The picture shows Yakunat from the Famagusta congregation coming up out of the water. |

| The April meeting of the small ladies' group was swelled by Carole from UK and Nevin the Mum of one of the Baptism candidates, now back in the UK also by Tanya Joan's granddaughter. |

| May 2007 The Midweek Fellowship in the Chaplaincy House continued on most Thursdays of the year probably the most successful series was 'Ten' by Jjohn born within a couple of kilometers of the Chaplaincy House we ended up running three TV sets to show the series. |

| June 2007 Like most chaplaincies a lot of life revolves around food a joint Barbecue in June with the folk from Lefkosa enabled a renewal of friendships and an opportunity to celebrate Ayo's Birthday Judith decided it was safer to cook Nigerian style rice in the kitchen. |

| July/August 2007 No local photos for July or August but Val and I took a break and one week was at the Diocesan retreat Centre of Kapedes wonderful place, easily accessible from all the island do use it lest we lose it. Back at Famagusta numbers were going into decline as the holidays took hold but unlike years gone by when services were cancelled this year we didn't drop below 50 on a Sunday evening as many stayed for Summer School. |

| October 2007 In October the Sunday School started meeting at the same time as the morning traditional service and the numbers went up from 2 to 6 boosted by the arrival of a student's wife and children from Nigeria to join her husband, and a couple from Zimbabwe with little Chloe and an English lady's grandchild.
